APPLY TO BE A HOMEOWNER
We are looking for qualified applicants for various home projects in Lake County, IN.
Habitat for Humanity houses are sold to qualified partner families at no profit, financed with affordable, no interest loans. The homeowner's monthly mortgage payments go into a revolving fund for Habitat for Humanity that is used to build more houses.
Each family is required to contribute 300 hours of "sweat equity" to build their own home and to help other prospective homeowners build their houses.

Families are chosen based on their ability to meet our qualification requirements. Applications are assessed by our Family Selection Committee, which reviews the family's need for a home, ability to pay and willingness to partner.
